Karen Fisher-Baird: Young Adult Author
Karen is an alumnx of the Vermont College MFA program in Writing for Children & Young Adults and an SCBWI member. As a copywriter at CFNY-FM Toronto for five years, she wrote imaging promos for the radio station, commercials for local and national advertising campaigns, and one award-winning anti-drunk driving PSA. After moving to Los Angeles, she worked as a freelance writer (Creative Forces Media for Warner Records). Karen serves on the Daniel Gerson Memorial Fund for the Arts board of trustees and is responsible for the fund’s marketing and outreach.
